My 70yo dad had surgery today. The doc sent the prescriptions electronically to Publix Pharmacy on Carmia Drive in East Point, GA, before 1pm. At 3:30pm, I was told 30 minutes and I informed the young lady I would be back. It’s now 6pm, and the medication still was not ready. My dad cannot take NSAIDs. Oxycodone and a stool softener were all he was prescribed. So 6 hours postop he still had no meds. Every place is short-staffed, but our community seems to routinely be short. The lines are longer, the food is not as fresh, and the variety of food is less than Publix in say…Smyrna or Roswell. Granted…our population here is majority African-Americans but we’d like healthier options too. I have written the corporate office about my concerns. Why are Camp Creek and Sandtown like this when there’s a significant volume going to these locations and the community is still growing?
